The first is called "Personally Identifiable Information" and the second "Non-Personally Identifiable Information" – we'll explain what these are in a bit, but more importantly is the reason why we collect this data: simply it's to help us provide you with the best possible customer service we can.
1.1 Personally Identifiable Information.
This refers to information that alone or together with other information we can access lets us know the specifics of who you are. We gather “Personal Information“ when you order from us, set up a Teemill store or when you enter a competition or sign up to receive promotional content e.g. E-mail newsletters or offers by post (“Promotional Content“). This information includes names, e-mail addresses, billing and delivery addresses, telephone numbers, genders, ages, product selections and preferences, order numbers, billing information, payment details, referring website Uniform Resource Locators ("URLs"), Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses (which identify the specific computer or device you are using), comments / feedback / reviews, webpage usage, social media profiles.
This information helps us to fulfil your orders and provide you with the best possible customer service.
1.2 Non-Personally Identifiable Information.
This refers to information that does not identify a specific individual. We gather certain information about you based upon where and how you shop on our site in several ways. This information is compiled and analysed on both an individual and aggregated basis. For example, this information may include such data as the URLs of the website that you will have just come from, the URL of the website you next go to, the browser you are using, and your IP address.
2. How do we use the information we collect?

3. How do we gather information?
We gather information in a few ways, some information you provide directly to us (e.g. your name and delivery address) and others we get from your device, subject to your device settings. But it all helps us to see what works and what does not.
When our customers order one of our products or services, we collect and maintain their name, e-mail addresses, billing addresses, delivery addresses, telephone numbers, product selections, order numbers, payment details, referring URLs, IP addresses (and passwords if they choose to make an account during the checkout process). We do this so that we can fulfil orders and let them know what's happening with it (we've received your order, it's on its way etc) and to send relevant promotional content if the customer has elected to receive it.

4. Do we provide information to any third parties?
We need to provide certain information to third parties who assist us in providing our products and services and developing our markets, but under their contracts with us they are required to store and process your information in accordance with the relevant laws and under similar standards of protection as we do.
If any police force, regulatory body or other public authority lawfully requests us to provide personal information we may comply with that request without being obliged to inform you.
5. How can you verify or access and update your Personally Identifiable Information?
Verification: If you do not have a user account with us (including if you are a Registered Customer), you may ask us at any time what Personally Identifiable information about you we are processing and we will respond as soon as possible, subject to any legal restrictions. For security purposes, you may only make your request by sending us a signed document to the postal address listed in Section 10 below, together with a copy of your driver’s license, passport or other official proof of identity card.
Access and Update: If you do have a user account with us, you may in addition to the above access, update or correct your Personally Identifiable information by accessing and amending your profile entries in your user account dashboard.
6. What are your choices regarding your receipt of newsletters and promotional emails?
You may unsubscribe from our newsletters and opt out of receiving any further promotional emails from us at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any newsletter or opt links in emails you receive from us. After doing so, you will never receive future newsletters or promotional emails – unless you open a new account, enter a contest, or sign up to receive newsletters or emails. If you do not wish to receive postal mailings you can opt out by contacting us and asking to be removed from our postal mailing list using the contact details at the end of this document.
What security precautions are in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of your information?
We build our systems with Privacy by Design principles in mind, and do not store card details or sensitive personal information on our servers. The customer data we do collect is stored in a password protected area and protected against unauthorised access by physical and technical security measures. Our data is stored on a secure server which has anti-hacking security measures in place. Personal profile data is stored in a password protected database on this server, which is itself protected with access permissions. User passwords are encrypted with modern non-reversible encryption methods. Transactions take place over a secure (256-bit) encrypted connection. Server software and security updates are installed automatically at a data centre run by insured hosting professionals.
7. How long do we keep your information?
Okay so now we're going to explain more about cookies. But it is a little technical, so we'll try and explain it quickly and simply. Well as much as possible.
